Business Controller – Chubb Fire Safety

As a Business Controller at Chubb Fire Safety you will be working in an international and dynamic organization. The Business Controller will report directly to the Finance Director and will be a major sparring partner towards the business and finance department. Within Chubb Fire Safety you will have a highly visible position, be responsible for analyzing the financial results and will have a major contribution to strategical decision making. The ideal candidate has a relevant finance degree, minimum of 5 years of working experience and the right energy to get things done.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Financial responsibility on behalf of the Fire Safety Business Unit and part of the Management Team
  • Sparring partner for the Business unit Director, Finance Director and the wider Finance team;
  • Responsible of improving up the Business Unit (financial) forecasting and planning process;
  • Support the business unit with financial and operational analysis and prepare/support budget-, business- and monthly financial reporting packages;
  • Coordinate employment productivity KPI’s and provide improvement insights;
  • Pro-actively drive and join ad-hoc projects and business cases, e.g. setting up Sales & Consulting Department ;
  • Cost Allocation Coordination (with central FP&A team);
  • Ensure finance process compliance and workflow compliance (ISP, eCAR, etc);
  • Constantly invest in further improving the Controlling department and the processes in the Business Unit;


Education and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in a productivity driven environment
  • Advanced Degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Excellent communication skills, at least fluent in English & Dutch;
  • Strong business acumen and proven business partnering skills
  • People person and high level of empathy;
  • Right positive attitude to get things done and able to inspire people;
