HMSHost – Reporting & Consolidation Specialist

Salary: € 40.500 - € 50.600,-

As Reporting & Consolidation Specialist at HMSHost you will be working in a highly-demanding, international company that is experiencing explosive growth. This position will support the budget, forecast, planning, control and reporting activities within the finance department. The role will also be responsible for accurately preparing financial reports and timely submitting assigned internal and external reporting requirements to local teams and regional controllers. You will be reporting directly to the Senior specialist Reporting & Consolidation.

 

Tasks and responsibilities

Budget and forecast process (main focus)

  • Support with the implementation of budget and forecast process
  • Support the local teams and regional controllers with the submission
  • Support with the review of the forecast and budget figures including supplementary information to ensure compliance with group policy and IFRS
  • Support in the consolidation process of the budget and forecast
  • Support with the Analysis of the consolidated figures and work closely with the FP&A department
  • Support with the further improvement and development of the budget and forecast process

 Actual process and projects

  • Support in the monthly financial consolidation process of the company (submission/load/validation process)
  • Responsible for intercompany reconciliation process for our division.
  • Support in the monthly reporting as well as quarterly/annual supplementary data/schedules to ensure reporting in accordance with Group accounting manual/IFRS accounting standards
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated figures of HMSHost International BV and its subsidiaries
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for accounts such as cash, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, intercompany, etc. using Hyperion in order to improve financial reporting and create consistency
  • Support in the roll-out of new reporting requirements/IFRS standards such as IFRS 16 (Leases)
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and skills

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance required;
  • Knowledge in accounting and finance with at least 2-3 years’ experience;
  • Experience within international high complexity companies or within international audit firms is a plus;
  • Strong analytical skills that can easily switch between detailed analyses and summarizing conclusions
  • Good interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Possess Initiative and ability to work effectively within time constraints, cope with ad hoc situations and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Hyperion or other consolidation tools is considered a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, both Dutch & English
