Mediq – Corporate Controller

Salary: € 65.000 - € 85.000,- + car

As the Corporate Controller at Mediq you will work in an ambitious and energetic organization which is growing and developing. The Corporate Controller rapports directly to the Group Controller and is a key player in the (global) finance organization of Mediq. You will work together closely with the CFO, the Group Controller and the Business Controllers. As Corporate Controller you will also be expected to communicate with the local business units and the Shared Service Centre. The opportunity is given to improve and align processes. The role is a combination of the controlling of corporate costs, in alignment with the business and the responsibility for the annual accounts. You will also be expected to take ownership of the Mediq-wide financial governance. Mediq is held by a Private Equity company and gives you a lot of possibilities to show initiative and improve the existing processes. At Mediq you will also be challenged to develop yourself and take on different responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate is a certified accountant (Dutch RA) and has a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounting, Audit or Financial Controlling. You will also need the right drive and ambition to make a difference at Mediq.


Tasks and responsibilities

– Act as sparring partner for the CFO and the Group Controller;

– Business and financial controlling of corporate costs, involved and aware of business plan for each department;

– Responsible for preparing budget per department and analyzing actual results vs budget, in-cluding forecast updates;

– Alignment with all corporate budget holders on their costs and FTE developments, and be pro-active to them when you think there are overruns or possibilities to save costs;

– Monthly reporting on corporate costs, including analyzing differences;

– Responsible for financial accounting within Mediq Group; responsible for coordination of the annual accounts;

– Act as point of contact for external auditors;

– Do monthly checks on salary payment details for corporate salaries, act as a last point of con-trol on this for the FSSC / HR dept;

– Financial accounting governance owner; making sure Mediq policies and procedures are documented and stored and accessible for everybody;

– Work and contribute on all kind of ad-hoc projects / analysis where applicable;

– Developing and updating financial accounting guidelines for the group.


Education and Competences

– Masters Degree in Business Administration or Finance/ Economics, combined with an ac-counting certification (Dutch RA preferred);

– Fluent in English, speech and writing, Dutch is preferred;

– 5+ years of relevant working experience within Auditing, Accounting or (Financial) Control-ling;

– Experience with monthly corporate planning and the controlling process;

– Good communication skills, able to influence and convince various levels of professionals;

– Take ownership and get things done;

– Ambitious and willing to go the extra mile;

– Very familiar with IFRS.
